Everything

Poetry by Gabriella

St. John’s Worth from my garden Summer 2021

Life and death,

Plays a roulette

We born to die,

We die to live.

Birth brings joy,

Death leaves sorrow.

We come from nothing,

We become nothing.

Joy and love all it last,

The true imprint.

Our birth and death.

No regret.

Vulnerable bodies,

Come and go,

We come from the Earth.

We become the Earth.

Cells grow than die,

Reform and grow again.

Blackness show light.

Lovely delight.

Love and Joy

Partners a dance.

Earth to dust

Then it all begins.

Achieving Absolute Stillness

The Art of Interconnectedness

Dr. Gabriella Kőrösi

The world – Art by Andrea Mihaly

Remarkable, the peace that surrounds you. It is still dark outside. You are lying in bed. Your eyes are closed. You have been taking in a deep breath. It does not happen at first. It will take time. Your mind is wandering around a bit. You are thinking about the day ahead. All the things that need to be taken care of today. You gently bring your mind back to focusing on your breath. Current issues come up. Your mind wonders about everything that is happening in your life, at your work. Keep breathing. You are not judgmental. You know that the mind wonders all the time. It makes sense there is so much information in your brain and consciousness. You are just trying to process all of it. Taking in the world with everything that surrounds you one thought at a time.

You keep focusing on your breath and nothing. First, you count your breath. You count until five as you deeply breathe in. Count until five while you are holding your breath. You are counting until five as you slowly breathe out seems to be hard.  The breathing out wants to go quick. Your body seems to be in a rush even though you are calmly lying in bed. You keep trying to take deep breaths. After breathing out you count to five before you breathe in again. It does not always work. Sometimes you feel like you need to take a deep breath and stop the pattern.

There is a moment when it comes, and you are not sure how long it lasted. The feeling is here again.

You are yourself, yet you’re also not yourself.

You are everything, and nothing at the same time. You understand the meaning of everything and the meaning of nothing. There’s a connection with everything around you. You are not in your bed anymore. you are surrounded by darkness tiny lights around you. You don’t have a body you became one of those tiny lights. you realize that’s what you are is consciousness and energy. Nothing more and nothing less. You’re not sure how long this feeling lasts the next moment you are back in your bed taking a deep breath within your body, inside of your bedroom any other house.

The feeling is gone, but the knowledge remains. It is now deeply ingrained in your brain and heart that you are a tiny particle of everything surrounding you. You are nothing more, and nothing less than everyone else than everything and everyone else. You know that you could not exist without all the other particles surrounding you. You are them, and they are you.

Learning about these connections will change your life. It is impossible to look at everything around you the same way ever again once you have had one of these experiences. We are together in everything and nothing at the same time.

I am very grateful to all the gods, spirits, angels, and the powers of the universe that I have had some of these experiences.

I am you, and you are me.

We are all the part of everything that becomes a whole. Our journey is to learn that we are all the same that we are all connected. All you have to do is experience stillness around you for a moment to have the same experience of the ultimate interconnectedness to everything and nothing.

Thank you for reading,

Gabriella

If I could Be: Poetry and Short Story Book

If I Could Be – Free Audio files

From my published book here it is a Free – Poetry and Short Story book – audio recording by Gabriella

I hope you will enjoy this recording. The poems are in English and Hungarian. The short stories are in English. Two of the short stories are non fiction and one is fiction.

The past year had brought much sadness and uncertainty into our lives. Living in a COVID -19 Pandemic had created a lot of challenges for families and individuals.

If I Could be is one of my favorite poems. My goal was to create joy and spark the imagination. About a year ago, I was reading this poem again and decided it would be great to make it into a little project. I contacted friends and family with the idea. After many months, e-mails, texts, and creative art the poem, short story and art book was born. I also added some previously written poems and short stories that are fun and add joyfulness to the book. This book is different from my more serious writings. It is meant to be.

My aim with this little book to bring some light and fun into our daily lives. I would like to say thank you for all the people who made this little poem and short story book happen, including family and friends who been encouraging me. Thank you for all the artists who volunteered and created drawings and paintings, sent me pictures for this book to bring joy to others.

Got Lost to be Found – On Purpose

Training for Search and Rescue

by Dr. Gabriella Kőrösi

Tami is getting Joey ready for a scent Gnat creek July 2021

Getting lost can happen to anyone. It is great to know that there are resources to help find people when they are lost. One of those resources is a furry member of the search and rescue team who is currently in training. Joey is a medium sized puppy; his body is covered with multicolored fur. He is fun and joy with all the expertise of his 11 months. He was rescued about 2 months ago from a shelter by his trainer. Joey has been training hard to be able to rescue others. He has been in training for about the last 2 months. He enjoys string cheese as a reward when finding someone. The last two weekends we been helping out with his training. The first weekend we did a getting lost session in Astoria Oregon by the Riverwalk. The second weekend we got lost at Gnat creek fishery and trails. It has been a wonderful experience.

Joey first gets a special small west on and that how he knows now he is working. Then his trainer Tami walks him around a circle in an area where they will start the search then provides him with a scent. You can see this in the picture. This picture amazingly captured the intense moment of Joey getting the scent. In reality it took about one second. It is truly amazing how in such a short time he can get a scent and find that person based on that one second. We tried multiple techniques. One person leaving and hiding. Two people leaving than going into different direction. Joey had to find one or the other and not be distracted by the other person he knows in the process. Two people leaving than he first had to find one person than get the scent of the second person and find them. Finding people in a busy city area as well as out in the woods. He did amazingly well. There was one time when he was a little uncertain and what his trainer did to walk him back and go over the scent again and he did fine. It is truly amazing what this young puppy can do. I admire the time and energy and patience that his trainer spends with him.

In the picture above Tami is getting ready to give Joey his reward. Joey is sitting on the person he found. Waiting.

Once Joey gets a scent, he goes pretty quick to find the person. He pulls to a point that there were times that I had to run after him and Tami, his trainer when they were following a scent and I was already found. He occasionally checks out other directions because the wind blows the scent into other ways yet ultimately, he finds his person. When he found me, he would stop and put his paws up on me and that is when he gets his reward of a sting cheese. He is very excited about his reward and ready to go again after a short break.

I got lost and found a handful of times and it is very exciting to be found. Although I know where I am there was still this hope hanging on, I kept thinking: “I hope he finds me”. It brought joy when he did. Waiting to be found was interesting. Even though I know where I was, and that Joey will come it was hard to wait. It really anchored in the feeling how difficult must be for people when they do get lost or lost and injured and having to wait to be found. Once Joey find the people lost there is also a quick hide and find where he gets another treat. I did one of those and it was a lot of fun. I just show him the cheese run around the corner, and he comes and finds me and gets another treat. He loved it and I loved it as well.

I am truly grateful for Joey being trained for a search and rescue dog.

I am grateful for the current search and rescue team and Deco, his trainer Tami for being there and finding and rescuing people when needed.

The Universe and Beyond

By Dr. Gabriella Kőrösi

Stars. Galaxies. Black holes. Universe. Multiverse. Imagine that you are here, and you are also not here. Multiple dimensions. Creating our own realities. Living in the exact moment without past and future. Imagine the color of love, the color of healing and the color of protection. What colors and feelings would it be for you? What do those words and feelings mean for you and the people around you? What if you can send love, caring, compassion, support, protection, joy and healing to anyone at any time? How does that possibility makes you feel? There is no downside. Just joy.

Color of love is a light pink for me like rose quartz, gentle yet beautiful and powerful color with healing powers. I see healing as a medium blue color that is the combination of the deep sea and the sky. I see protection as a combination of white and gold colors with healing crystals embedded into them. It helps if you hold a crystal or quartz that feels right for you.

Imagine sending love to the world you live in and beyond as far as your imagination lets you go. How would you do this? Imagine the same with healing and protection. Sending healing and protection to the whole world and beyond to everything you know and do it without any questions and without wanting anything in return. Try it. Take a few deep breath, relax and think of the person or area where you would want to send love, joy, healing, or protection and just send it in any shape, color or form that is right for you. How did that make you feel? The more you practice the easier it gets. Let the imagination flow. Think outside of the box. Have fun and love, heal, and protect the world. You are more powerful than you think.

Let me know how this works for you.

Gabriella

5 ways to bring joy into your life

By Dr. Gabriella Kőrösi

  1. Slow down. Think about your day. Take that extra second to enjoy the morning sunrays or the sunset. Take a deep breath. Stop and look at the Ocean one more time.  Be in the present moment. Our daily lives are fast, and it can be difficult to stop and fully absorb each moment. It is important to take the time and enjoy moments that are precious for you. Take the time to enjoy the sip of tea you are drinking. The smile of a friend or family member. A phone call with someone you love. There are so many moments go by each day. Days, weeks, months, and years pass by quickly. Showing down and enjoying the present moment without worrying about the past and hurrying into the future brings joy into our lives.
  • Have some Fun. Life is serious enough. Recently I was on a day road trip with a friend and my son. We stopped for a mid-morning snack and coffee. The coffee shop had these huge bubble makers for sale. My friend got really excited and said let’s get some and we can take it next time we go on the beach and make huge bubbles. I imagined myself making huge bubbles on the beach. Sounded like a lots of fun. I can not remember the last time I made bubbles, probably when my kids were little. It was a good reminder that it is important in life just to have some fun. Whatever sounds fun to you, it might be a walk on the beach, having tea with a friend, playing sports, going on a hike. Whatever it is that you do or used to do for fun, keep doing it. Having some fun will bring moments of joy back to your life.
  • Be kind to yourself and others. It is easy to judge ourselves and each other. Face it none of us are perfect. Being kind to yourself and accepting, can bring additional joy into your life. It can be a simple checking in with someone you know, or you have not heard from for a while. Noticing if someone is having a hard day and see if there is something you can do for them to ease their day. A smile and a few kind words can go a long way. Many times, we judge ourselves and others. Take a break. Accept the moment and see what you can do to make your day better. Take an extra small step toward kindness. It will make yourself feel better as well as other people around you. Being truly kind means that if you give something to yourself or others you do not hope to receive anything in return. Get a card for someone, just because. Bring a small gift, just because. Make something, just because.
  • Gratefulness and appreciation for everything in your life. Life is not easy, yet we can always find something to be grateful for. It can be family, friends, your job, the place you live, the food you eat. The morning sunshine, the rain, the forest. The air you breath in. It can be really anything you choose to be grateful for. Being grateful for things makes us feel good, increases endorphins in our bodies. Just being grateful to exist, to wake up in the morning to have a chance to live another day. It can be hard to be grateful when things are tough, and things have been though for a lot of people especially now with the pandemic. Yet, there is so much to be grateful in our lives. Recently I was reminded that simple things like getting up in a morning without any pain in your body can be something to be grateful for. I am grateful every day for my life, family and friends, my job, my animals, that I have a wonderful place to live in, I have food to eat. I am grateful for nature, the trees, the animals, the oceans, the air we breathe. There is so much more that I can not list everything here of course. Try to list a few things in your mind or our loud what you are grateful each morning when waking up and each night when going to bed. It does increase joy and general well-being in our lives.
  • Connection to family and friends and even strangers can bring more joy into your life. Feeling connected to others and feeling the love we have for them and the love they have for us brings joy to our lives. Just thinking of loved ones can make you smile. Being connected is even more important now than ever before. The covid pandemic had limited personal touch and personal visits to family and friends and even in workplaces and places of business. This created huge holes and loneliness in many people’s lives. Keeping connected in any ways possible is a basic human need. We are tribal people. See a friend even if it is from 6 feet away. Call or video chat with family, friends, or co-workers. Make new connections by joining like minded people in groups for book club or yoga for example. Now that some restrictions are lifted making connections again will be easier. Connecting with the environment is also important. Seeing animals and nature around us can create a general comfort feeling. Trees release oils that decrease anxiety. Taking a walk in the forest or anywhere in nature and enjoying those moments build new connections in our brain and positive, relaxing joyful moments.
