Can You Accept Yourself The Way You Are?

Humanity in its core

Dr. Gabriella Kőrösi

My question is to you: Is Being Human Enough?

What does humanity mean? Why do we strive to live longer? Why do we always want more?

I recently listened to multiple documentaries and conversations on the Gaia channel that discuss those questions. The debates usually go both ways. One side of the argument is that if you’re already here and you’re able to make improvements to yourself that is part of your destiny. The other side is that just because we can: Is it mean that we should improve our technology and insert advanced technology into our bodies and our lives.

I was reading an article by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz discussing the debate on artificial intelligence. How Artificial Intelligence Vision of Elon Musk Integrates with Intelligence of Ali Baba [Jack Ma]. How two different intelligence methods serve the society.
Dr. Mehmet Yildiz discussed both sides of artificial intelligence vision for the future and came to the conclusion “undermining the harmful effects and not taking speedy precautions can bring severe ramifications to humanity.”

I thought that his article was a wonderful debate. It led me to the question: I wonder when would we stop and realize that being human the way we are is just enough?

Dr. Mehmet Yildiz thought that was a profound question. I know that each individual has their thoughts about what humanity and being human means to them. I am concerned about the speed in our lives. The way we are racing through our day. The constant technology we use evaded our lives. We use technology all the time everywhere. It is difficult to get a break from our computers and phones. The question is do we need all this technology in our daily life to live a fulfilled happy life.

It seems that we are continuously trying to evolve and improve ourselves to a point that we might lose our humanity. This brings more questions to my mind.

What Does Being Human Mean to You?

Are you willing to sacrifice part or all of your humanity to become faster and more efficient in this world?

I believe that we are enough the way we are. We can always learn and gain insight from what is happening around us. It does not mean that we should change who we are into something else.

Does living a longer life worth it if it comes with the burden of losing who you are in the process?

It is up to each individual to make the choice of which way they would like to go. I believe a balance is needed. Parts of technology can help us communicate better to be able to save lives. Too much technology I’m afraid we will destroy us and who we are.

I hope for the future we can make good choices today and stick with being human, connecting to nature and everything around us to help us evolve instead of looking more and more into technology to be faster and more efficient.

Humanity is a miracle. It is a treasure that I hope we don’t lose but embrace. Instead of looking outside to improve ourselves with technology, I hope we can all learn to look inside and realize that we are enough.

Thank you for reading,

Gabriella
